Heaven Shall Burn played a special farewell show with Schleitzer in Saalfeld. Following a quiet period, Heaven Shall Burn announced they had recorded a new album titled Deaf to Our Prayers, which was released on August 28, 2006.
Originally formed under the name Consense by Maik Weichert and Matthias Voigt. They released at least one demo under that name. They soon included Marcus Bischoff and Eric Bischoff and subsequently changed their name to Heaven Shall Burn. The band’s logo was drawn by Killswitch Engage bassist Mike D’Antonio.
