Ford Blues Band. It was 1969 when Patrick Ford first came onto the San Francisco blues scene with brother Robben Ford. Early life. Robben Ford was born in Woodlake, California and raised in Ukiah, California. He began playing the saxophone at age 10 and the guitar at age 14. Robben and his brothers created the Charles Ford Blues Band in honor of their father.

Three years later, he took a deeper interest in blues, prompted by Eric Clapton and Peter Green, and formed his first band. Shortly afterwards, he played rhythm guitar behind Freddie King until King’s death in December 1976.
Ford Blues Band – Another Fine Day. It was great fun. The material definitely has more of a rock, R&B feel but the blues is the nuts and bolts holding it all together. While most of the songs are originals, two older classics, “Monkey Time” and “Taste & Try,” are included. They really present two sides of a coin.
